Tim: I love how he pays attention to detail... a scent, favorite candy; he always surprises me with stuff.
Troy: He absorbs knowledge and researches everything, its amazing to watch him work.

Describe your first offline meeting/date.
Tim: Well I picked him up at his place and took him to the Walmart up the street and went shopping.
Troy: That day at Walmart was amazing, just hearing his voice about life and just spending time.

Was he everything you expected when you met in person? Were there any surprises?
Tim: HE was MORE than I thought... like I was surprised everything online was true. He was too good to be true, yet was! LOL
Troy: The surprise was his whole personal existence. He was perfect.

What are your plans for your future together? Are you domestic partners? Would you be?
Tim: I want to spend the rest of my life with him. I would marry him any moment if Ohio would legalize it, married in California, but with Prop. 8 it's legal mumbo. But I love him.
Troy: I know I wanted to die with HIV in the past, but now I take my meds, and want to live and spend the next 30+ years with Tim.

Do you do any of the activities together that you listed on your Gay.com profile?
Tim: Yes, we go on nature walks and visit parks and walk around. We also cook together.
Troy: The same likeness of things we do together are amazing.

Is there any particular celebrity he reminds you of?
Tim: Ricky Martin. He's got a ethnic thing going on, being Spanish and Apache, and he's sexxy like in his video "I Don't Care"
Troy: Tim is his own celebrity.

Describe one of your favorite (and least favorite) things you've done together.
Tim: Favorite: Hmmm, baking together. Least would be playing video games since I beat him and too fast-paced since I'm 21, he's 37, I have better hand-eye coordination.
Troy: Talking about things he finds online like space, health, etc. I haven't found anything that I didn't like.

How does he get along with your family and/or friends? How do you get along with his?
Tim: My family likes him, and my friends adore him, my other past relations they hated lol. His friends don't like me, but that's becuz they fall into rumors online.
Troy: My family took some time to get used to him, since I've been hurt a lot... but they see I'm happy. His friends are nice and I get along great with them.

How do you explain how you met? Do you say you met online?
Tim: We met online becuz I was searching for someone true and looking for a LTR...we talked about what we wanted in life... I didn't believe him till I met him. Thought it was just a lie to get me in bed.
Troy: We talked for hours, something I never did online, and then on the phone.

Did you meet using chat or online personals?
Tim: We met in the Akron, Ohio, chat room.

Was your first chat naughty or nice?
Tim: Nice, I never talk about sex online first
Troy: I can't find hookups due to my POZ status and age, but we chatted and NOT once did sex come up. It was nice.

How long did you chat before meeting in person?
Tim: Well we chatted for a few days before I picked him up in Walmart; I was testing to see if it was real.
Troy: Maybe a week before we met in person, due to work schedules.
